AISA Eagle VNIR remote hyperspectral sensor boasts a 1000 pixel swath width which is almost twice the size of AISA+. The benefits of a wider ground swath are quite simply: the required flight times to cover multiline flight blocks are reduced by over 50 %. This reduction in flight lines leads to faster acquisitions, lower costs and increased operational flexibility. If an area where cloud cover is persistant the acquisitional window is narrow and a wider ground swath permits flight blocks to be finished more quickly as fewer lines are required. |
| Like AISA +, AISA Eagle is designed with the field in mind making it compact and field friendly. It's an excellent tool for airborne and ground remote sensing analysis and quick to install and remove from any aircraft. It approximately takes just over one hour to install or remove the system once the technique has been learnt. |
Components
| AISA Eagle is a complete, pushbroom system, consisting of a hyperspectral sensor head, miniature GPS/INS sensor, data acquisition unit in a rugged PC with display unit and power supply. |

| The system also includes an in-flight configuration setting, which allows alterations to be made easily for each exercise, and AISA's post processing software CaliGeo . Like all of Specim's products CaliGeo has been under development so that it provides a user-friendlier interface to apply both radiometric calibration and georectification to the AISA images. CaliGeo now exists as an ENVI plug-in running under ENVI user interface and providing a seamless path from calibrated image to application processing. |
